The Healthcare System is F*cked Part I
It amazes me how I often feel stuck in the machine and yet I am admittedly part of it as a medical provider and practice owner.
Our medical system is F*CKED. I am afraid to use my insurance due to a sky high deductible despite having an unrelenting shoulder issues and unmedicated ADHD…perimenopause…several things I treat daily in my own clinics but am struggling to find or comfortably afford myself. I pay $800 per month for health insurance. I can only imagine how hard the system is to navigate for others.
My partner Guillermo and I are starting a new clinic soon and hope to care for people in an area where there are ZERO private practices that do what we do. But how do I fix the system and still feed my kids?
Until I know the answer to that question, I will do what I can, one client at a time.
