Your Old Self Needs to Give 2025 Self a Hug

Today’s Boss B needs to give 2021’s Boss B a big hug.

That 2021 girl had no idea what she was really in for when she started her first psych practice.

Now that 2025 B has a wait list, has built and sold practices, closed two others, coaches other NPs, is a thought leader in her field, and has specialized psychiatric and functional med skills that clients seek out daily.

I am starting to feel some burn out again and need that 2021 girl to remind me why I do what I do:

Self care

Balance

Travel

Time with family

It’s time to get back to what really matters to me.

Until my new NP at New Vistas is credentialed my wait list is going to become a “not accepting new clients” list. This is an incredible milestone to reach! But it is also difficult because I want to help everyone that comes my way.

But I can’t. And especially not if I continue to accept insurance. I hope someday clients understand that insurance plans truly limit my ability to provide care at the level they need and deserve.

2021 B is so grateful to have reached where 2025 Boss B is and where she’s been.
