It’s Been Awhile..
It has been a long while since I last posted and wow, so much has changed. However, if you’ve been following for awhile, you know that change is what I have long guaranteed, above all else. Changing my mind often has been something I have felt negatively about over the years and received a lot of criticism on. Regardless, I can’t imagine where I would be without my constant willingness to shake things up a bit or a lot.
I mean, did I mention I got married? I somehow made it to 40 without getting married but it was time and we are absolutely thriving.
Shaking things up this time has also meant a rather quick decision between deciding to move to Central Florida and then making it happen. We made it here earlier this summer AND the kids are back in public school, which has required some real adjusting. Both kids are not active in theater- the reason we chose Central Florida- and are having the time of their lives. Connor has been cast in a big role twice in a row!
For years I spent time focusing on spending more time with them but also building businesses, selling them, seeing patients, and so much more. My deep-dive into entrepreneurship saved my life but made the goal of enriching my family’s lives a bit cloudy. Now that I have scaled back drastically (saw my last patient for the foreseeable future in July!), and my husband is retired, it is time to really focus on what the children love. They are very interested in anything musical theater and I’m now comfortable enough in my work (very part time now) that I can make the time to really help them pursue those interests. Unfortunately, we really wanted to help them pursue those dreams from outside of the United States but the opportunities here are unparalleled compared to most other places that we would want to live. I never ever pictured us in Florida but here we are, and we are going to make the best of it until travel finds us again.
Speaking of travel, we are planning some light travel and cruises to help me shake off the “I’m not supposed to be here” (in the U.S.) feeling. For once I will NOT be working on our next cruise! It is relaxation time for me! I technically have not taken an actual vacation in many years because travel does not always vacation, in my book.
Until I have more to share, please ensure that you see me at APNA this year! I am presenting a 90 minute session on Billing and Coding for the PMHNP Entrepreneur!
I would also be DELIGHTED to see you at theBeyond The Script Live!Conference mid-October where I will help aspiring or current NP entrepreneurs break free of the barriers that are keeping them from scaling or pursuing something bigger or better in alignment with their “why".” Better yet- save $50 when you use the code “Molle” to register.
Until then, I am buried in Doctorate of Nursing Practice program studies and ready to implement my project this month. It has taken a lot of my time but I believe it will be thoroughly worth it in the end.
Please, let’s connect soon. I am so thrilled to see so much growth in our profession whether stateside or from afar.
I am still doing 1:1s with NP Entrepreneurs on a very limited basis. Contact me at info@npecb.com if you are interested.
